Itinerary
The tour will start just after arriving in Wrocław. Our guide will be waiting for you at a predetermined place to go sightseeing together in the capital of Lower Silesia.
Day 1
Wrocław – the city of meetings
You will start your guided tour from the Wrocław Old Town. An entrance to the baroque Aula Leopoldina and the Mathematical Tower of the Museum of the University of Wrocław is also planned. You will see one of the largest market squares in Europe, with a Gothic town hall and pillory in the centre. You will walk around the Four Denominations District, also known as the District of Mutual Respect, as it includes the Catholic church, the Evangelical church, the Orthodox church and the synagogue. During the tour, you will learn how four different philosophies influence the religious and cultural tolerance of Wrocław.
Day 2
The Majestic Książ and the mysterious Świdnica
After breakfast, you will go to Świdnica. There you will visit the Church of Peace, that was entered in 2001 on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was erected in the 17th century after the end of the Thirty Years’ War and is one of the two largest wooden religious buildings in Europe.
Then you will go to Wałbrzych to have a guided tour in Książ Castle. This residence, surrounded by the Książ Landscape Park, is the largest castle in Lower Silesia and the third largest castle in Poland. The programme also includes a walk around the Palm House in Wałbrzych, where over 250 plant species from around the world grow. You will return to Wrocław for the evening.
Day 3
Wrocław – the city of 100 bridges
The day will start with a guided tour of Ostrów Tumski, the oldest part of Wrocław. You will enter the Gothic St John Baptist Cathedral and the Botanical Garden of the University of Wrocław founded at the beginning of the 19th century.
Next, you will take a water tram ride on the Odra River and you will take a walk in the Szczytnicki Park, where a Japanese garden is located. You will also see the Wrocław Multimedia Fountain show and the Centennial Hall, that was entered in 2006 on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In the evening you will go to a restaurant for dinner combined with tasting beer brewed on site.
Day 4
On the battlefield – the Panorama of the Battle of Racławice
In the morning you will see a unique attraction. It will be the Panorama of the Battle of Racławice, a museum presenting a 114 x 15 m cycloramic painting depicting the Battle of Racławice that took place during the Kościuszko Uprising. Then you will visit the National Museum in Wrocław, whose exhibition is mainly devoted to Silesian art, but also to Polish and European art.
After the tour, you will go to the station or airport depending on the form of return transport you choose.
