Overview
Easter is the most important holiday in the Christian tradition. In Poland, it is celebrated especially solemnly and is associated with a number of traditions and folk customs, such as a palm competition, decorating Easter eggs, blessing food on Easter Saturday, sharing an egg and Wet Monday. At Easter, the Main Square in Kraków is sparkling with colours and attracts with its aromas. It is also a time of contemplation and reflection, which can be indulged in during the extraordinary Misteria Paschalia Festival.
