On the trail of Jewish culture and the Holocaust

1,000 years of the history of Polish Jews

Overview

Poland in Hebrew is called Polin, which means a place where you should live or rest. The fate of millions of Jews was woven into the history of Poland for many centuries, and their presence became part of many city and town landscapes. Unfortunately, World War II interrupted the development of this community and led to the extermination of about 90% of Polish Jews. Our journey in the footsteps of Jewish culture is a journey through 1000 years of their beautiful yet tragic history.

Experience you’ll gain:

  • extend your knowledge of the history of Polish Jews
  • visit the second largest Jewish cemetery in Europe
  • see an interactive exhibition at the POLIN Museum
  • enter the oldest synagogue in Poland
  • pay tribute to those murdered in KL Auschwitz-Birkenau
