Where to go
Lower Silesia
The Lower Silesian voivodeship is located in south-western Poland and its capital is Wrocław, a city of a hundred bridges. In Lower Silesia reside many castles and palaces (including the Książ Castle), spas, mysterious undergrounds such as the Fortress in Srebrna Góra, or the Riese complex. The region also has UNESCO objects: Wrocław’s Centennial Hall and wooden Churches of Peace in Jawór and Świdnica. Noteworthy are Milickie Ponds in the Barycz Valley landscape park, Colorful Lakes in the Rudawy Janowickie, and Błędne Skały in the Table Mountains, where scenes for the film “The Chronicles of Narnia” were filmed.
