Itinerary
We invite you to a weekend adventure to the capital of Poland during which you will discover the secrets of Warsaw’s Old Town, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the former Jewish district and in the splendor of the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów.
Day 1
In the footsteps of the legendary mermaid
The first day of your stay will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the secrets of the 700-year-old Old Town, which after World War II was rebuilt in such detail that it has entered the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the middle of the Old Town Square you can feel the city’s heartbeat and see the statue of the Warsaw Mermaid, the emblem and guardian of the city.
This day you will also see Castle Square with the Column of King Sigismund III Vasa, which is a favorite meeting point for residents and tourists, and the Royal Castle where you can see paintings by famous painters, including Rembrandt, Canaletto and Matejko.
Dinner will be served in one of the most iconic restaurants of the Polish People’s Republic.
Day 2
How Warsaw became the capital of Poland
After breakfast, we will invite you for a journey through time along the Royal Route during which you will learn how Warsaw became the capital of Poland and how the image of the city has changed over the centuries. Throughout the stroll, you will have the opportunity to admire impressive historic buildings: the Presidential Palace, the Academy of Fine Arts, the University of Warsaw and the Palace on the Island in the Royal Łazienki Museum – the summer residence of the last king of Poland Stanisław August Poniatowski.
You will spend the rest of the tour discovering the pre-war side of Warsaw. You will visit the Nożyk Synagogue and one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in the world, and then you will see the Palace of Culture and Science – a symbol of post-war architecture.
Day 3
The charming manor house of the Chopin family or a palace with a magical garden?
After breakfast, you will go for a meeting with the most outstanding Polish composer of the Romantic era – Fryderyk Chopin. You will visit his family home in Żelazowa Wola and listen to a concert in the beautiful park that surrounds it.
You will spend the afternoon at the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów, which is one of the most valuable monuments of the Polish Baroque. During the tour you will have the opportunity to see the sumptuous apartments of King Jan III and Queen Maria Kazimiera.
After returning to Warsaw, we invite you for a walk around the Prague district and for a vodka tasting at the Polish Vodka Museum.
This evening a sumptuous dinner with live music will be arranged.
Day 4
It is time to say goodbye
On the last day of your stay you will have time to discover the charms of Warsaw on your own and stock up on local souvenirs. For those who are persistent, we recommend a visit to POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews or the Warsaw Rising Museum.
At the end of your stay in beautiful Warsaw you will have lunch in one of the local milk bars.
